if A and B are two odd positive integers such that a is greater than B then prove that one of A + B by 2 and a minus b by 2 is even and the other is 8​

(a+b/2)(a-b/2)

(a+b)(a-b)=a^2-b^2

let a = a+b/2 and b=a-b/2

(a+b/2)^2-(a-b/2)^2

=a^2+b^2/4-a^2+b^2/4

2b^2........
