Given :-

➔ a:b = 1¾:2⅔

➔ b:c = 4:3¼

To find :-

➔ a:b:c

➔ a:c

Solution :-

➔ a:b = ⁷⁄₄:⁸⁄₃

➔ a:b = 21:32   (Cross Multiplication)

➔ b:c = 4:¹³⁄₄

➔ b:c = 16:13    (Cross Multiplication)

☆ L.C.M of two values of b (32 and 16) is 32 ☆

∴ a:b = 21:32 and b:c = 16:13 = 32:16

➝ a:b:c = 21:32:26

➝ a:c = a ÷ c = a ÷ b × b ÷ c

➝ a:c = ²¹⁄₃₂ × ¹⁶⁄₁₃

➝ a:c = ²¹⁄₂₆ = 21:26

Answers :-

  • a:b:c = 21:32:26
  • a:c = 21:26
