as a:b=2:3
we can say a/b=2/3
as b:c=5:7
we can say b/c=5/7
we see that b is common here
so the best way to solve it would be by making b equal
so in one place b is 3 and in the other it is 5
lcm of 3 and 5=15
in a/b=2/3= 2x5/3x5=10/15
in the second one where b/c=5/7
we can make it 5x2/7x2=10/14
now a:b=10:15
and
b:c=10:14
now as b is equal we can simply make the ratio-
a=10
b=15
c=14
a:b:c=10:15:14
there are many methods to solve this question
this is my method
hope it helps
