a/b = 3/2 and b/c= 3/4

multiplying both equations
(a/b)*(b/c) so b will get cancelled
so 3/2×3/4
so answer is 9/8

Answer:

a:c = 9:8

Step-by-step explanation:

Given:- a : b = 3 : 2 and b : c = 3 : 4.

To Find:- Value of a : c.

Solution:-

Given, Ratio of a with respect to b is 3 : 2, and

Ratio of b with respect to c is 3 : 4.

a/b = 3/2 ----- ( 1 )      and         b/c = 3/4  ------ ( 2 )

In order to find the ratio of a and c, first we need to make the value of b equal in both the ratio.

Multiplying (1) by 3/3, we get

a/b = 3/2 × 3/3

     = 9/6

Multiplying (2) by 2/2, we get

b/c = 3/4 × 2/2

     = 6/8

Now, a/b × b/c  = 9/6 × 6/8

⇒ a/c = 9/8

Therefore, Ratio of a with respect to c i.e. a : c = 9 : 8.
