I have a short trick for you

when a:b and b:c are given and asked find a:b:c

then write like the following

a:b= 3:5

b:c=   10:13

then here a:b:c= 3*10:10*5:5*13

thus a:b:c= 30:50:65

when simplified we get 6:10:13

so here trick is multiply a* 2nd b: 2nd b* 1st b: 1st b*c
