given, a+b=6---(1)

a-b=4---(2)

adding (1) and (2) we get

2a=10

a=5

substitute in (1)

b=6-a=6-5=1

b=1

ab=(5)(1)=5

I hope this will help u :)

mysticd: 4ab=(a+b)^2-(a-b)^2
mysticd: 4ab=6^2-4^2
mysticd: 4ab=36-16
mysticd: ab=20/4=5
