Given:

The ratio of a and b is 7/3. ( a:b = 7:3 )

To Find:

The ratio of (a+2b)/(a-2b) is?

Solution:

1. The ratio of a and b simply implies the value of a/b. The ratio of a and b is represented as a:b.

2. The ratio of a and b is 7/3,

=> (a/b) = (7/3),

=> 3a = 7b,

=> a = (7b/3) ( Assume as equation 1 ).

3. The ratio of (a+2b)/(a-2b) is,

=> (a+2b)/(a-2b),

=> Substitute the value of a as 7b/3 from equation 1,

=> (7b/3 + 2b)/(7b/3 - 2b),

=> (13b/3)/(b/3),

=> (13bx3)/(3xb),

=> 13.

Therefore, the ratio of (a+2b)/(a-2b) is 13:1.

The value of  \frac{a + 2b}{a - 2b} is 13.

Given: a/b = 7/3

To Find: The value of \frac{a + 2b}{a - 2b}

Solution:

Since it is given that a / b = 7/3

So let us consider

a = 7 and b = 3

Placing values of a and b in a + 2b

a + 2b = (7) + 2(3)

           = 7 + 6

a + 2b = 13

Placing values of a and b in a - 2b

a - 2b = 7 - 2(3)

          = 7 - 6

a - 2b  = 1

\frac{a + 2b}{a - 2b} = 13 / 1

Therefore, the value of  \frac{a + 2b}{a - 2b} is 13.
