9

Step-by-step explanation:

Give

a+b=9

ab=-22

1) a-b

to find this first we need to find a²+b²

(a+b) ²=a²+b²+2ab

9²=a²+b²+2(-22)

81=a²+b²-44

81+44=a²+b²

a2+b2=125

Now

(a-b) ²=a²+b²-2ab

(a-b) ²=125-2(-22)

(a-b)²=125+44

(a-b) ²=169

a-b=√169.

[a-b=13]

(a+b) (a-b) =a²-b²

9×13=a²-b²

a²-b²=117
