Answer:

a/b=4/3 is a ratio form. We can't get the exact value of a or b from this equation.

But we can write a in terms of b or b in terms of a

a/b =4/3

→a=4b/3

And,

b=3a/4

So a+b will give

→4b/3 +b=7b/3

Or,

→a+ 3a/4=7a/4.

U can also write a and b in terms of x

a=4x and b=3x…(x is generally the hcf of a and b, but it can be any other number also)

then, a+b=4x+3x=7x

But whatever u get is in ratio form. U can't get the exact value of a+b

Answer:

3(a+b) = 4(a-b)

= 3a+3b = 4a-4b

= 3a-4a = - 4b-3b

= - a = - 7b

= - a/-b = 7

= a/b = 7
