p(x) = 2x² + 7x + 5

x =  \frac{ - b \frac{ + }{} \sqrt{ {b}^{2} - 4ac }  }{2a}  \\ x =  \frac{ - 7 \frac{ + }{}  \sqrt{49 - 4 \times 2 \times 5} }{4}  \\ x =   \frac{ - 7 \frac{ + }{} \sqrt{49 - 40}  }{4}  =  \frac{ - 7 \frac{ + }{}  \sqrt{9} }{4}  \\ x =  \frac{ - 7 \frac{ + }{}3 }{4}

Therefore the zeroes of p(x) are

(-7+3)/4 = -4/4 = -1 and

(-7-3)/4 = -10/4 = -5/2

Therefore,

a = -1

b = -5/2

Hence,

a+b+ab = -1 - 5/2 +5/2 = -1
