if a:b=b:c then proof that a:c=a^2:b^2​

 \frac{a}{b}  =  \frac{b}{c}  \\  \\  {b}^{2}  = ac \\  \\  \frac{a}{c}  =  \frac{a}{ \frac{ {b}^{2} }{a} }  \\  \\  =   \frac{ {a}^{2} }{ {b}^{2} }

a:b= b:c

proof here

a:c= a²:b²

Proof :---

given here

a:b= b:c

=>a/b = b/c

=>ac= b² ....(1)

so,

a:c

= a/c

= a/c × a/a

= a²/ac

by (1)

= a²/b²
