if a,b,c,d are in gp show that
(b - c)2 + (c – a)2 + (d – b)2 = (a - d)2.

2(b - c) + 2( c- a) + 2(d - b) = 2(a - d) \\ or \: 2b - 2c + 2c - 2a + 2d - 2b = 2a - 2 d \\ or \:  - 2a + 2d = 2a - 2d \\

or \: (a  - d)2 =  (a  - d)2 \:  \\ hence \: proved
