Answer: 8

Explanation:

The property to be used here is the Distributive property. According to the same, for three numbers a, b and c,

a \times (b + c) = a \times b + a \times c

So in this situation, it can be applied in the following manner:

a \times (b - c) = a \times (b + ( - c)) = a \times b + a \times ( - c)

 = a \times b  - a \times c

Therefore,since a x (b-c) is equal to 8,

a x b - a x c = 8
