hi tejas,

Given
a:b = 3:5
and
b:c = 4:7

now the hint is to make the 'b' values in both ratios equal , so that we can compare them

so to make it equal we have to find the LCM of 5 and 4
which is 20

so
4*(a:b) = 12 : 20
and
5*(b:c) = 20:35

and now these two set of ratios can be compared
a:b = 12:20
b:c = 20:35

a:b:c = 12:20:35

Hope it helped
Let me know if any doubts.
Cheers !!!
