Hello,
----------

Initial velocity of the ball = u = 40 m/s

g = a = - 10 m/s²

Time = t = 6 seconds

Displacement = S = ?

Using formula : - S = ut + ½ × a × t²

We get,

S = (40 × 6) + ½ × (- 10) × (6)²

=> S = 240 + 36 × (- 5)

=> S = 240 - 180

=> S = 60 m

HOPE IT HELPS

The ball thrown upward with velocity = 40m/s
g=-10m/s^2
because of retardation
time=6seconds
hence, h=ut+1/2gt^2
h=40×6+1÷2×(-10)×6^2
h=60 m
so, magnitude of displacement = 60m
hope this helps you.
Plz mark it as brainliest.
