Answer:

if the ball simply dropped from the tower then initial velo=0

so ,time taken ,t=

 \sqrt{2 \times distance  \div g}{?} }

Initial velocity (u) = 0m/s

Acceleration (a) = 10m/s^2

Height of tower (h) = 100m

Time taken to hit the ground (t) = ?

.

From Equations of motion:

h = ut + 1/2× (at^2)

100 = 0(t) + 1/2 × 10t^2

100 = 5t^2

5t^2 = 100

t^2 = 20

t = √20

t = 2√5

t = 4.47 sec.

Thus, the ball takes 4.47seconds to hit the ground after it was released.
