If a bar-magnet and a piece of iron is given to you, then how you will decide, which one is a bar-magnet and which is a piece of iron?

If you are having an iron bar on one side and a magnet on other side as both are of same shape and color so just lets say piece 1 and piece 2 as we dont know which piece is what so.

Take piece 1 and bring it near to the piece 2 if piece 2 get's attracted towards piece 1 then piece 1 is your magnet and piece 2 is your iron bar.

And opposite happens then piece 2 is your magnet and piece 1 is your iron bar.
