If a battery of EMF 6.6V can supply a current of 3A through a resistance of 1.8ohm what current does it supply through another resistance of 2.9 ohm. Also calculate internal resistance of the battery

Load current = 3A

Now, Voltage V = IR = 3*1.8= 5.4 V

Internal resistance r = E- E − VI

6.6 − 5.43= 0.4 ohm.

Also, current through 2.9 ohm,

I = emfR + r = 6.62.9+0.4 = 2 A
