Final velocity of block:- 0 m/s (As the block stops)

Time to stop the block:- 5 sec.

Force required to stop the block:-

F = ma

F = 2 (0-10)/5

F = -20/5

F = -4 N

Therefore, force required to stop the block is -4N.
