Perfectly smooth surface means that the friction acting on the body is almost negligible.
The two components of force acting perpendicularly & tangentially cancels each other hence no net force acts on the body.

Since the body is moving through a smooth surface there will only be less friction between the body and the suurface. So no net force will act on the body.
