Kinetic energy is a form of energy of an object which possesses due to its motion. It is the half of the product of mass and square of speed of object. i.e., K.E = 1/2 mv².

  • Initial height of the body, h = 25m,
  • mass of body , m = 3 kg
  • initial velocity of the body, u = 0 m/s
  • time, t = 3sec

Using formula, v = u + at

Here, a = g = 9.8 m/s²

⇒ v = 0 + 9.8 × 3 = 29.4 m/s

We know, kinetic energy, K.E = 1/2 mv²

= 1/2 × 3 kg × (29.4 m/s)²

= 1296.54 J

Therefore the kinetic energy of the body after 3 sec is 1296.54J.
