Answer:

Given:

Mass = 5 gm

Velocity = 100 m/s

Penetration of 6 cm

To find:

Average force imposed

Concept:

Whenever the bullet is provided with deceleration while penetrating through the block , it experiences a force.

So first Calculate the acceleration by using Equations of Kinematics and finally get force my Multiplying acceleration with mass .

Calculation:

 {v}^{2}  =  {u}^{2}  + 2as

 =  >  {0}^{2}  =  {100}^{2}  +( 2 \times a \times 0.06)

 =  > a =  \dfrac{1000}{(2 \times 0.06)}

 =  > a = 83.33 \: m {s}^{ - 1}

So average force experienced :

F = m \times a

 =  > F =  \dfrac{5}{1000}  \times 83.33

 =  > F = 0.4165 \:  N

So final answer :

  \boxed{ \green{ \huge{ \sf{ \bold{ F = 0.4165 \:  N }}}}}
