Answer:

A can do 1/4 of work in 5 days .

therfore to complet the work is 1/4 / 5/1 which is 1/4 x 1/5 = 20 days .

b can do 1/5 of work in 6days .

therfore to complete the work is 1/5 / 6/1 which is 1/5 x 1/6 = 30 days .

therfore 1/20 + 1/30 = 3/60 + 2/60 = 5/60

therfore 5/60 of work in one day or by ( simplified ) 1/12

therfore 1/12 of the total work in one day .

therfore it will take 12 days to complete the total number of work .

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

A and B can do (1/18)th of the work in a day.

B and C can do (1/24)th of the work in a day.

A and C can do (1/36)th of the work in a day.

2A+2B+2C = (1/18)+(1/24)+(1/36)

= (4/72)+(3/72)+(2/72)

= (9/72) or

A+B+C = (9/144) = (1/16)th of the work in a day.

C alone does (1/16)-(1/18) = (18–16)/(16*18) = 2/(16*18) = (1/144)th part of the work in a day. So C, working alone, will complete the work in 144 days.
