If a car accelerate from rest with an acceleration of 2m/s square ,a bus moving with a constant speed of 10m/s ,how fast will the car be travelling when it overtakes the bus?
After how long will it take the car to overtake the bus?
How far would the car have gone at that point

Answer:

Let time be t

s(car) = 0(t) + \frac{1}{2} \times 2 \times {t}^{2} = {t}^{2} \\ s(bus) = 10t

So

 {t}^{2} = 10t \\ t = 0 \: \: and \: \: 10s

speed of car = 2t = 2×10= 20 m/s

displacement for car = t^2 = 100 m
