If a charge of 50μC moves from point A at potential 1200V to point B at potential 400V, find the potential energy (in mJ) released by the charge.

Answer: 1.6.* 10^-8

Explanation: q = 10^-6

Now since it is moving from one volt to another, charge in other volt must have affect the charge . Total voltage = 1600

Now W = qV

W= 10^-6 * 1600 = 1.6 * 10^-5 J or 1.6*10^-8 mJ
