If a crane can lift the mass of 10 tonne .what could be the radius of metallic rope used in the crane. If the elastic limit of the metallic rope is 3 × 10 to the power 8Nm.

force it can lift=10*1000*9.8=98000 N

Power=Force/Area

Area=Force/power

 \pi  *r^2=98000/8

r=√(98000/8* \pi  )
