A) 120m

B) 180m

C) 210 m

D) 240m

Solution :-

→ 4 rounds in = 16 minutes

→ 1 round in = 16/4 = 4 minutes .

now,

→ 1 minute = 60 seconds .

→ 4 minute = 240 seconds .

then,

→ Distance covered in one round = Circumference of circular track = Time * Speed = 240 * 6.28 = 1507.2 m

therefore,

→ 2πr = 1507.2

→ 2 * 3.14 * r = 1507.2

→ 6.28 * r = 1507.2

→ r = 240 m (D) (Ans.)

To Find :  the radius of that track

A)120m

B)180m

C)210 m

D)240m​

Solution:

Distance covered in one round = circumference  = 2π(radius)

π = 3.14    , radius = r  m

Hence Distance covered in  one round = 6.28r  m

Distance covered in 4 rounds =  4 * 6.28r   m

Speed =  6.28 m/s

Time = 16 mins = 16 * 60  = 960 sec

Distance = Speed * Time

=> 4 * 6.28r  = 6.28 *  960

=> 4r = 960

=> r = 240 m

radius of that track is 240 m
