Given :

⬤ Lateral Surface Area of Cylindrical Post Box is 440 cm² .

⬤ Height is 50 cm .

To Find :

⬤ Radius of Cylindrical Post Box .

Formula Used :

\sf[\:{Lateral\:Surface\:Area\:of\: Cylinder=2\pi{r}h}\:]

Solution :

According to the Formula :

440 = 2 × 22/7 × r × 50

440 × 7 = 2 × 22 × r × 50

3080 = 44r × 50

3080 = 2200r

r = 3080/2200

r = 1.4

Therefore , Radius of Cylindrical Post Box is 1.4 cm .

☆Answer☆

Lateral Surface Area of cylindrical postbox = 440 cm²

Height of the cylindrical postbox = 50 cm

To Find the Radius of cylindrical postbox!

2πrh = 440 cm²

2×(22/7)×r×50 = 440 cm²

44r×50 = 3080

2200r = 3080

r = (3080/2200)

r = 1.4 cm

Hence, Radius of cylindrical postbox is 1.4 cm.
