Step-by-step explanation:

Given if a decimal greater than 0 and less than 1 is divided by a lesser decimal would the quotient be always, sometimes,or never less than 1 ?

  • According to the question a decimal is greater than 0 and less than 1. So if this number is divided by a lesser decimal we need to find whether the quotient is always or never less than 1.
  • So consider an example a number greater than 0, but less than 1, so it ma be 0.7. Now we need to divide this by a lesser decimal (may be 0.3) so 0.7 / 0.3 = 2.33
  • Similarly 0.9 / 0.5 = 1.8
  • Also 0.02 / 0.01 = 2
  • Also 0.9 / 0.5 = 1.8
  • So we get a number that is never less than 1
