Surface area of cuboid= 2(lb+bh+lh)
=2{(80×40)+(40×30)+(30×80)} cm^2
= 2{3200+1200+2400}cm^2
= 2{6800} cm^2
= 2×6800cm^2
= 13600cm^2

Boardie: hey!! sis we have to find the surface area not volume :)
Preetigupta1: oh... sorry sis
Boardie: its ok;)

 \huge \tt Solution↷\:

  • The length of aquarium =l=80cm

  • Width of aquarium =b=30cm

  • Height of the aquarium= h = 40 cm

  • Area of the base = 1 x b = 80 ×30 =2400 cm

  • Area of the side face=b×h = 30 ×40 = 1200 cm

  • Area of the back face = 1× h = 80×40 = 3200 cm

  • Required area = Area of the base + area of the back face+ (2 x area of a side face)

  • = 2400 + 3200 + (2 x 1200
  • = 8000 cm

  • Hence the area of the coloured paper required is 8000 cm².
