Force = 50dyne.

Area = 10cm^2

=> Pressure = force / area

= 50/10 Pascal

= 5 Pascal

Given :

Force 'F' = 50 dyne

Area of the block 'A' = 10 cm²

To find :

Pressure 'P' on the block

Solution :

We have force 'F' = 50 dyne

                   1 dyne = 0.00001 N

Therefore, 50 dyne = 0.0005 N

Similarily, Area = 10 cm²

                  1 cm = 0.0001 m²

Therefore, 10 cm² = 0.001 m²

Pressure can be defined as the force (in Newton) exerted per unit area (in m²) of an object.

Therefore, Pressure = Force/Area

                              P = F/A

                              P = 0.0005 N / 0.001 m²

                              P = 0.5 N/m² = 0.5 Pascals = 0.5 Pa

The pressure on the block is 0.5 Pa
