Pressure = Force / Area
= 25 N / (25 × 10^-4 m^2)
= 10,000 Pa
= 10 kPa

Pressure due to that Force is 10 kPa

Answer :

Given -

  • Force = 25 N
  • Area = 25 cm² = 0.0025 m²

To Find -

  • Pressure ?

Solution -

Pressure is said to be Force per unit area.

Pressure = Force/Area.

Pressure = 25/0.0025 = 10,000 N/m²

Hence, Pressure = 10,000 N/m².

Some Additional Information :

  • Weight is the force with which it is attracted towards the earth.

  • Mass is the measure of its inertia.

  • Thrust is the perpendicular force to the surface is called thrust.

  • Pressure is defined as force upon area.

  • Pressure = Thrust or Force/Area.
