because any system can not be 100% efficient.

Actually the answer is option d since no engine attains 100% efficiency importantly heat engine doesn’t reach 100%.

Since the highest efficiency of the heat engine depends upon the heat source and heat sink the heat will flow in the conventional manner so there will be rising in temperature in heat sink.
