if a hollow cylindrical conductor having positive charge is placed near another neutral Hollow cylinderical conductor. outer surface of neutral conductor gets negative charge and inner surface of conductor gets positive charge .

also magnitude of charge induced in outer surface = magnitude of charge in surface
so, net charge on the neutral conductor = 0

hence, net induced charge on neutral conductor is zero.
