If A is subset of B then A - B = Φ

Given :

A is subset of B

To find :

The set A - B

Solution :

Step 1 of 2 :

Define subset of a set

A set S is said to be a subset of T if every element of S is an element of T . It is written as S ⊆ T

Step 2 of 2 :

Find the set A - B

Here it is given that , A is subset of B

∴ A ⊆ B

∴ Every element of A is an element of B

∴ There is no element in A which are not in B

Now we have ,

A - B

= { x ∈ A : x ∉ B }

= Φ
