area of law=l×b
= 30×16=450m^2..........1

now area of new rectangle formed by combining width of path and width of rectangle=l×b
l=30m
and b=16+2= 18m
now area = 30×18=820m^2............2

subtracting 1 from 2
820-450= 370m^2
which is area of parh

Question:-

if a lawn 30m long 16 m wide is surrounded by a path 2m wide, what is the area of the path

solution:-

Let, L be the length of rectangle and B be the breadth rectangle.

By Question:-

We know formula of

=> Area of rectangle = L × B

=> Area of rectangle = 30 × 16

=> Area of rectangle = 480 m²

=> X = 480

we know that length and breadth increase by 2 m from their both ends.

so,

=> L = 30 + 2 + 2 = 34 m.

=> B = 16 + 2 + 2 = 20 m.

We know formula of

=> Area of rectangle + path = L × B

=> Area of rectangle + path

= 34 × 20

=> Area of rectangle + path

= 680 m²

=> Z = 680

=> Area of path =( Z ) - ( X )

=> Area of path = 680 - 480

=> Area of path = 200 m²

Area of path 200 m².

i hope it helps you.
