This is converse of basic proportionality theorem

Here, if a line divides any 2 sides of the triangle in same ratio then , it is parallel to the third side

let AB:BC be the first ratio and AQ:QR be the second ratio .

let AB:BC be equal to AQ:QR

Since AB/BC = AQ/QR

Therefore, line BQ || side CR
