If a magnet is broken down, would you able to identify North pole and South pole?

Hy,
The answer is yes, because the magnetic field remains the same in the whole magnet, whether you break it or not. The north and south pole can be detected by bringing other magnet in front of the pole and then seeing wheter the magnet is attracted or repelling that pole. Or a magnetic compass can also be used.

It doesn't matters whether a magnet is broken or it is well, a magnet will always works as per its nature.
So answer is yes we can be able to identify north pole and south pole even magnet is broken.
