let a number be x.
A/q,

x * x/3 = 10800

x^2 = 10800*3

x^2 = 32400

x =180

let the number be a
according to the question,
a Γ—( a/3)=10800
{a}^{2}  = 3 \times 10800
 {a}^{2}   = 32400 \\ a = 180

rama3857: what if it is 3/4
sid1001: the second term would have been 3a/4
sid1001: you want me to post tge solution or will you try?
