Given:-

The pair of supplementary angles are in the ratio 3:7

To find:-

The measure of the smaller angle.

Solution:-

Let the angles be 3x and 7x.

Since,the pair of angles are supplementary,thus their sum is 180°.

=>3x+7x=180

=>10x=180

=>x=180/10

=>x=18

Thus,the angles are 3×18=54° and 7×18=126°

Hence,the measure of the smaller angle is 54°

Given :

  • Pair of supplementary angle is 3:7

To find :

  • Measure of smaller angle

According to the question,

  • Let the angle be x
  • Supply angle is 180°

→ 3x + 7x = 180°

→ 10x = 180°

→ x = 180° ÷ 10

.°. x = 18°

  • 3x = 3 × 18° = 54°
  • 7x = 7 × 18° = 126°

.°. The smaller angle is 54°

Verification :

→ 3x + 7x = 180°

→ 3 × 18° + 7 × 18° = 180°

→ 54° + 126° =180°

→ 180° = 180°
