Method Normal .

Note there is a direction change when ball attains maximum height .

The time taken by ball to get to max height can be found this way :

v = u - gt

0 = 75 - 10t

t = 7.5 seconds.

H = 75*75/20 = 281.25 m

Distance travelled in 8th second = Distance travelled in 8 seconds - Distance travelled in 7 seconds

So, distance travelled in 0.5 s = 5(0.5)^2

= 1.25 m

Distance travelled in 7 seconds =75(7)-5(49)

= 35(15-7) = 8*35 = 280

So , S8 - S7 = (281.25+1.25-280) = 2.5 m
