a= v-u / t

= 0-10 / 15

= 0.67 m/s

Given:

  • a particle starts at rest and velocity 10 m/s after t = 15 s.

To find:

  • The acceleration of the particle?

Solution:

Using the first equation of motion,

v = u + at

  • v denotes final velocity
  • u denotes initial velocity
  • a denotes acceleration
  • t denotes time

Substituting the values.

⟶ 10 = 0 + a(15)

⟶ 10 = 15a

⟶ a = 15/10

⟶ a = 1.5 m/s²

∴ Hence, Acceleration of the particle is 1.5 m/s².
