krishnasaroj2002: if the surrounding is in normal condition.

Hi Srishti here.
Decomposition of dead bodies depends on following factors

TEMPERATURE: begins above 10 degree celsius and optimum between 21 to 38 degree celcius. It is arrested below 0 degree celsius and above 50 degree Celsius. Twice rapid in summer than winter. Advanced decomposition can be seen within 24 to 36 hours in summer
MOISTURE: promotes growth of micro organism there by increasing rate of decomposition
AIR: presence promotes decomposition
MANNER of BURRIAL: When buried six feet down, without a coffin, in ordinary soil, an unembalmed adult normally takes eight to twelve years to decompose to a skeleton. However if placed in a coffin the body can take many years longer, depending on type of wood used. For example a solid oak coffin will hughly slow down the process.
CLOTHING: hastens decomposition by maintaining body temperature
AGE OF PERSON: New born child not fed decompose very slowly. Body of children putrefy rapidly than old people
SEX : No much influence
CONDITION OF THE BODY: Fat body decompose quickly than lean body
CAUSE OF DEATH
SCARS : Decomposition retarded in scarred area
MUTILATION: Wounded bodies putrefy rapidly

krishnasaroj2002: You are genius..
Ashutri: i.e. depends on surroundings .There are many more conditions which influence the rate of decomposition.
