If a person travels at the speed of 30 km per hour then he reaches his destination 10 minutes late while travelling at a speed of 42 kilometre per hour he reaches his destination 10 minutes before the distance travelled by the person is

Answer: Let the time taken when he reaches on time be T and distance of school be D

T + 1/6 = D/30   ...............................  (1)

T - 1/6 = D/40  .................................(2)

Subtracting  (2) from (1) and solving further we get

∴ D= 35 KM
