If a piece of burning coal is covered with a tumbler, what will happen and why?

Explanation:

If we cover the burning coal with tumbler after some time when all of the oxygen contained within the coal is utilized, it no longer has its fuel and thus due to the cutoff of oxygen the coal would stop burning. As in the process of Combustion atmospheric oxygen is required for burning of any substance.
