if a plant is releasing carbon dioxide and taking in oxygen during the day does it mean that there is no photosynthesis occurring justify your answer.​

During photosynthesis the plant produces oxygen from which some is kept for respiration while the rest is released, if the plant takes in oxygen during the day then wither there is no photosynthesis taking place or it is taking place but is not capable of producing enough oxygen for respiration.
