if a plant is releasing carbon dioxide and taking in oxygen during the day does it mean that there is no photosynthesis occurring justify your answer

No, photosynthesis is occurring during day as giving out carbon dioxide refers when it is respitrating which happens in day too but is more in night and during day in the presence of sunlight the photosynthesis is occurring but in the absence of light in night it is not.
