2.31 * 10⁻⁶ cubic kilometre of water the pump will drain per hour.

Step-by-step explanation:

The diameter of the pipe, d = 14 cm = 0.00014 km

So, the radius of the pipe, r = d/2 = 0.00014 /2  = 7 * 10⁻⁵ km

The length of water drained out by the pipe per min i.e., the water flow through the pipe per minute, h = 2500 m

So, the rate of flow through the pipe in km/hr will be, h = 2500 × (60/1000) = 25 × 6 = 150 km/hr

Now,

The volume of water drained out by the pipe per hour will be ,

= volume of the cylinder per hr

= πr²h

= (22/7) × (7 × 10⁻⁵)² × 150

= 2.31 × 10⁻⁶ km³

Thus, the pipe will drain out 2.31 × 10⁻⁶ km³ of water in 1 hour.
