Given that,

Breadth of rectangle = 4 cm

Perimeter of rectangle = 24 cm

Let length of rectangle = y cm

Putting values of Perimeter and Breath in Equation ( A ), We get

24 = 2X(y+4)

24 = 2y+8

24 − 8 = 2y+8−8

16 = 2y

16 / 2 = 2y / 2

8 = y

Therefore, the length of side of the rectangle is 8cm.
