Speed, Distance and Time

To Find

Distance travelled by rickshaw in 3 quarters of of an hour.

Given

Speed of the rickshaw is 30kmph.

Formula

Distance = Speed × Time

Solution

Speed of rickshaw = 30km/h

Time = 3 quarters of an hour

Time = 3/4 of an hour

Time = 3/4 hours

Now,

Applying the formula,

Distance = Speed × Time

Distance = 30 × ( 3/4 )

Distance = 90 /4

Distance = 22.5 km

Answer

So, distance travelled by rickshaw is 22.5 km or 22 kilometres and 500 metres.

Note :-

Always take care of units.

If speed is in km/h then you will have to take unit of Time in hours.
